Soarin’ Eagle is the Barton Hills Elementary PTA’s no-hassle fundraiser. This program has replaced nearly all of the PTA’s fundraisers, costing most parents the same amount of money while providing them more time and less hassle. Not only has this been a popular program with parents, it’s also been appreciated by our volunteers who can spend their time enriching our school in other areas, such as Book Buddies and Math Pentathlon, instead of organizing fundraisers.

The Soarin’ Eagle Fundraiser consists of a suggested donation of $160 per student at BHE. This money goes directly towards the educational resources the PTA provides for all students at BHE. Some of the services provided by Soarin’ Eagle are:

• A t-shirt, directory and yearbook for each student
• PTA membership
• Funding for Cultural Arts presentations
• Library books, classroom materials and teacher retreat
• Items on the Principal’s Wish List (items needed at our school but not budgeted for by AISD)
• Partial salary for Mr. Webb (Computer Lab)
• Partial salaries for Ms. Dyer (Art), Ms. Dykhuis (Music) and Ms. Heath (PE).
• ???    Technology upgrades?  Improve library collection?  Provide additional classroom materials for teachers?  Improve playground?

If you are able, please consider contributing more than the suggested donation of $160 per student to cover the cost of services provided to students whose families are unable to make a full contribution. And, if you are unable to make a full contribution, please contribute what you can. We are looking for all families to participate!

Soarin’ Eagle contributions can be made at one time or recurring monthly until May 2008. Credit and debit card payments, as well as automatic bank withdrawals, can be made here through PayPal (see below).

Cash and checks will also be accepted in the PTA Inbox in the school office. Checks should be made payable to Barton Hills Elementary PTA.
